Performance comes in many sizes and shapes here on the Gulf Coast. From a home tuned Miata to 8.0 liter Dodge Vipers and Ferrari California's, the Emerald Coast makes a great place to cruise the beach or hit the back roads. Also featured is a Maserati Spyder and possibly the scariest of them all, a Nissan GTR, also known as 'Godzilla'. Last but not least is two examples of performance in another arena: Mary Kay Cadillac's rewarded to the top salespeople in their region. Making women beautiful everywhere is always on the Carspotter's to do list.

Classicspotting
Pensacola is a great place for car enthusiasts of all stripes. Not collectors, mind you, but people who like to drive their prize toys around the way the gods of premium fuel deigned. Besides the expected big block American thunder, I've uncovered a niche of small sports cars from England and Japan including one of my favorites, the Datsun 2000. I had a friend in college who had one when it was new. He had a set of airplane landing lights mounted to the rear bumper that he could flick on when someone tail-gaited too persistently. Don't try this at home, kids. I'm pretty sure its a felony. Also of note is a couple of Sunbeams, an Alpine and a V8 Tiger, the same car as driven by Maxwell Smart.

Pensacola Platespotting
It's time once again for customized plates. If there's one thing that people around here like, it's naming things. Whether it's a boat or a car or a sports team, people here really like to wear their preferences on their bumpers. Some plates are about the driver, the car or something known only to that person. Here's the best of the past couple weeks.
