Modes of Transport

As I review my time in Las Olas, the exotics aren't the only thing that stick in my mind. The oddball, hot rod, one-off wonders that roam the streets and canals of Fort Lauderdale will always serve to amuse and amaze me. Step right up for the wonders of the boulevard. Besides a variety of hot rods, you'll see an experimental three wheeled Fiat, a couple of logo cars as well as a genuine Batmobile. Holy Turbines, Batman!

Vantage Point

The Aston Martin Vantage is a smaller V-8-powered sportscar that's spun from the British automaker's VM aluminum architecture. Perfectly proportioned, with a low purposeful stance, the Vantage is uncompromisingly modern yet also incorporates classic Aston Martin design cues. This is one car that begs you to turn off the stereo and dip your toes into the gas pedal for some beautiful music. Nobody does refined AND ferocious like these blokes. This fellow was shot by my redheaded passenger while I jockeyed for position, plus some others I've seen around town. She's gotten used to this and pretty good at snapping off a round.

Sunset symphony

I shoot sunsets most days and this is also primetime Carspotting time. Many are either heading home or heading out around sunset. These were all captured yesterday in about a half hour on my street corner. I wish that I could convey the symphony of sounds that these very different performance cars play as they drive by.
